Former Mililani quarterback Jarin Morikawa is competing with two others for the starting job at Jackson State, according to his high school coach, Rod York.


Timmy Chang, the former Saint Louis and University of Hawaii star quarterback, is the offensive coordinator for the Tigers.


Morikawa, the 6-foot, 185-pounder from the Mililani Class of 2013 and a transfer from UNLV, went 6-for-7 for 43 yards and a touchdown in Jackson State’s spring game in April.
