Liberty Patriots to play Saint Louis, Mililani

Liberty High School of Henderson, Nev., will play two Hawaii football powerhouses, Mililani and Saint Louis, on consecutive weeks in the upcoming season.

The Patriots, who went 10-3 and lost to Bishop Gorman in the Nevada Division I state semifinals a year ago, will play Saint Louis at Aloha Stadium on Aug. 29. The start time is TBA.

The following week, on Sept. 4, Liberty hosts Hawaii’s Division I reigning champion Mililani at Freedom Field on the school’s campus at 7 p.m.


The Crusaders did not make the state tournament a year ago, losing to Punahou in the ILH final.

The Trojans won the OIA title and went on to defeat Punahou 53-45 in the state final at Aloha Stadium.
