Kahuku’s Ethan Erickson a Polynesian Bowl All Star

Kahuku tight end Ethan Erickson has been selected a 2019 Polynesian Bowl All Star.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound senior has caught eight passes for 110 yards this season for the Red Raiders. Erickson committed to Brigham Young during the summer over offers from Navy and Utah State.

He is the fourth Kahuku player selected to the annual high school football all-star game, which will take place Saturday, Jan. 19, at Aloha Stadium.

The other Red Raiders selected for the Polynesian Bowl are defensive end Tausili Fiatoa, linebacker Miki Ah You and offensive lineman Enokk Vimahi. Ah You is out for the season and won’t be available to play after having surgery on a torn ACL in his knee. Vimahi has also been dealing with a nagging injury this season.

Only Punahou has more players selected for the Polynesian Bowl from Hawaii — OL Duke Clemens, LB Maninoa Tufono, DB Kaulana Makaula, DB Marist Liufau, K Tim Horn.
