Monday night football hits the 808 state for the second time in as many years. Last year, it was lightning that forced two games to be postponed to a Monday. This year, the threat of Hurricane Lester has given us three Monday night games on the slate.

Waipahu (2-0, 1-0 OIA D-II) is on course for a first-place showdown against Pearl City next week if it can get by Roosevelt (1-3, 1-2) in the first game of a doubleheader at Aloha Stadium. Marauders QB Braden Amorozo has thrown for more than 300 yards in each of his first two games.

History: Waipahu leads the all-time series 14-1 in the Prep Bowl and state championship eras, but Roosevelt won that one game in the last meeting, a 37-18 victory in the 2007 OIA White semifinals.

    Rough game for the Riders…..
I like the run option offense and with more practice, less fumbles and mistakes, they will get better. Play calling is there but in need of execution.
Once they get moving the Rough Riders will get Rolling. Concentration is key to Execution.
Mauraders have some tricks up their sleeve!!!!!
Gutsy play calling(double pass) with no mistakes.
O line and D line look good. Hit the weights Hard and the Mauraders are definately are not only in contention with a D2 Championship but could most definately come back up and be competitive in the D1 division.
Good luck to both teams…. play hard, play smart.
