Kaniala Kalaola in at QB for Kapolei. Hurricanes punts, but the ball comes loose on the return and Kapolei recovers at the Nanakuli 17. Looked close to kick catch interference but no flag. Wow. That had to be the fastest quarter of the season. Kapolei has second-and-10 at the Nanakuli 18 to start the second. Still scoreless.
Kapolei drives to the Nanakuli 4 in nine plays, but the Golden Hawks stuff a fourth-down screen pass for a loss of 2. Nanakuli picks up a first down but a sack for a loss of 8 stalls the drive and the Golden Hawks punt.

No JV game for this one and the Golden Hawks and Hurricanes are ready to go. As the Nanakuli PA announcer put it, “The winner goes on. The loser? Pack ‘um up and try again next year.”
