Only two ranked teams are in action Friday night in a seven-game slate scheduled for Oahu.

The lone ILH game is at Aloha Stadium pitting Division II teams Pac-Five (2-1, 0-1) against St. Francis (1-2, 0-1). Wolfpack QB Ryan Johnson accounted for four TD’s and threw for 352 yards in a loss to Damien last week.

HISTORY: Pac-Five leads the series 3-1 but St. Francis won its first ILH game in program history last year beating the Wolfpack in the second meeting of the season between the two schools.

Live updates of the 7:45 p.m. kickoff will follow below:

10:56 p.m.: And after a stoppage for an injury, that’ll do it. St. Francis wins 30-27.

10:47 p.m.: Johnson is PICKED OFF by Justus Makainai-Rogers on his own 40. 1:59 left, Wolfpack have two timeouts. Destin Pakele rushes for 3, P5 immediately calls time with 1:52 left. Pakele picks up the first on an eight-yard rush and that might be it as Pac-Five calls its final timeout with 1:36 left.

10:41 p.m.: Wolfpack take over on their own 5 with 4:08 down 30-27. Time for Johnson to start slinging. Johnson gets sacked and his helmet falls off so he has to sit the next play. Huge.

10:39 p.m.:
P5 punts to the STF 37. 6:00. A TD could possibly seal it for St. Francis. Nope. 3 and out for the saints on three rushes.

10:31 p.m.: Saints going for it on 4th and 9 and take their second timeout of the half. 7:19 left. Akana throws a pass that’s tipped around and almost picked off, then it’s CAUGHT by Micah Kalei for a TD. 2-point is no good, they knew exactly what was coming, stuffing Mailei up the middle. 30-27, 7:11

10:25 p.m.: Shimabukuro is back in the game and picks up a 6 yard rush, upping his total to 24-159.

10:18 p.m.: Sefa Finau in at RB. 2 rushes for 2 yards. Saints rush it four straight times for 8 yards total and turn it over on downs. P5 takes over on own 27. Pac 5 27, St. Francis 24, end of 3

10:15 p.m.: P5 punting from own 4. Let’s see what happens here. Nothing much. Punted out of bounds to their own 33.
2:27, Saints take over trailing 27-24.

10:14 p.m.: Johnson has really cooled down. Not as accurate. Now 14-24. He’s been forced to roll out to the right a lot, making for a harder throw since he’s a lefty.

10:11 p.m.: Penalty 22. Holding. Saints now at P5 41. Saints punting on 4th and 23 from P5 38, 3:40. Nice punt by Matthew Dacuycuy. Downed at Wolfpack 5.

10:07 p.m.: Shimabukuro is down. He had their last 5 carries or so, now up to 23-153 and a touchdown. School record for yards is 186 by Ranana Mamiya. Looks like a cramp on his left calf. Walking to the sideline gingerly

10:05 p.m.: Saint Francis gets flagged when one of their lineman is not wearing a mouthpiece. Penalty 21

9:59 p.m.: Johnson throws a 7 yard lob to Zion Shepherd for the touchdown. Fukuroda PAT good. 27-24, 7:45 to go in Q3

9:52 p.m.: Unsportsmanlike conduct for STF, penalty number 17. P5 on STF 35. Jonah Luis-Mateo has been ejected for targeting.

9:50 p.m.: Bubba Akana connects with Scott McCleod for a 42 yard gain on a screen and Wembley finished it off with a 4 yard rush on a QB draw from the wildcat. He then does the exact same thing for the 2-point conversion. Saints up 24-20, 9:33 left.

That’s 24 unanswered for STF

9:19 p.m.: STF calls time with 50 seconds left. 2nd and 8 from their own 44 after another Shimabukuro rush. One timeout left for them. Saints continue to run it and call their last timeout with 0:34. 2nd and 4 from p5 41. Penalty on STF for having 12 men on the field. Turnover on downs for STF at the P5 38. Wolfpack then take a knee, we are at the half. The Saints lead the penalty shootout 14-8

9:15 p.m.: EMS is on the Pac5 sideline … Personal foul on STF and P5 is starting from is own 46. Johnson is picked off by Jonah Luis-Mateo. WOW! Saints starting from own 43 with 1:20. They have a chance to take a halftime lead. Didn’t see that coming.

9:08 p.m.: Wolfpack punting from own 28 with 2:59. Saints with a chance to pick up some major momentum. Starting from P5 39 with 2:45. Ample time to score before half. Shimabukuro takes it 15 yards to the 24. And then to the 14. And then to the end zone for a 14 yard rush, TOUCHDOWN! Shimabukuro 12-81, TD. Looks like they’re going for 2 with Wembley back at QB, and he punches it in. 20-16, 1:42 left.

9:05 p.m.: Saints have been lining up in the Wildcat for this while drive with Wembley at QB. He kept it four times the drive, the last one a 10 yard TD rush. He does the exact same thing for the two-point conversion. 20-8, 3:20 left

9:00 p.m.:
Mailei Wembley’s 44 yard touchdown rush is negated by an illegal shift by St. Francis. Ref says they weren’t set for more than one second

8:55 p.m.: Johnson lobs one beautifully into the stretched arms of Matthew Hallstein in stride for a 45 yard TD
Johnson is having a ballgame. 11-17, 156, 3 TDs. Fukuroda PAT is good.
20-0, 5:35 left

8:52 p.m.: Consecutive 3 and outs for STF. Punting from own 22. P5’s Grey Ihu fields a laser punt and takes it to the Saint Francis 21.But it’s called back by a block in the back
Now they start on their own 37 with 6:02 left.
This is the game of penalties. And then STF gets called for roughing the passer. Now on STF 45

8:44 p.m.: P5 starting its next drive on own 46 after Saints punt from their own end zone. One of Pac-Five’s players is down
On his knees, 13-0, 7:34 in 2Q. Saints leaning heavily on Tyson Shimabukuro, who has 8 carries for 33 yards. It’s Spencer Cox. I really can’t tell what he was favoring, maybe he got the wind knocked out of him.

8:36 p.m.: At the end of the first, PAC5 is up 13-0. Johnson is 7-9 with 102 yards and 2 touchdowns.

8:33 p.m.: Wow. STF QB Bubba Akana makes a run for it on 3rd and long from the 38, but fumbles at the 2. Wolfpack recover in the end zone for a touchback. This is not their day. Penalty count is up to 10

8:26 p.m.: Wolfpack driving after a 40 yard pass from Johnson to Jett Uechi. Johnson 22 yard TD pass to Kaloa. Fukuroda PAT no good. The duo for the game so far:
Johnson is 6-7, 95 yards 2 TD
Kaloa is 3-53, 2 TD
13-0, 4:35 to go

8:18 p.m.: STF punting from its 26 and gets flagged for a delay of game. Now punting from own 21. 7:08 to go, nine penalties, P5 starting from STF 48

8:15 p.m.: Tyson Shimabukuro’s first down gain of about two is negated by a low block call. Yet another penalty for Saint Francis. That’s six flags for them and we’re only at 8:54 left in the first quarter

8:14 p.m.: Ryan Johnson completes a 9-yard pass to Travis Kaloa, who is hammered but still catches it. Ball was on the 27, but a hit on a defenseless player is called and it’s half the distance to the goal. Johnson and Kaloa connect on a 21 yard touchdown pass after a holding call
Tyler Fukuoka PAT is good, but a flag is thrown. SO. MANY. FLAGS. On both sides. Four encroachments, four false starts Pac Five up 7-0 with 9:25 left

8:09 p.m.: Ryan Johnson completes a 9-yard pass to Travis Kaloa, who is hammered but still catches it. Ball was on the 27, but a hit on a defenseless player is called and it’s half the distance to the goal

8:05 p.m.: P5 starting from its own 39, starting from 44 now after encroachment. False start puts them back at the 39. Now we can play football.
