10:17: Konapiliahi Raymond scores on a 10-yard run for the Mules. Tom-Makue kicks the extra point. LEILEHUA 63, NANAKULI 12, 2:10 left in game.

10:12: Damarion Smith runs three times for a first down. Kekoa Turnagan is in at QB for the Mules.

10:09: Nanakuli gets one first down on a Holbin Cash-Meyer run, but can’t get another one and loses the ball on downs. Mules ball at their own 49. 7:21 left in game.

10:00: Third quarter ends.

9:59: Leilehua marches 75 yards for another touchdown. This time, Rayden Rulloda-Kim is the recipient of a 21-yard TD pass from Nichols. Tom-Makue makes the kick. LEILEHUA 56, NANAKULI 12, 0:12 left in third quarter.

9:49: On third and goal, Nichols finds Evans for a 12-yard TD in the right corner of the end zone for a touchdown. Tom-Makue kicks the extra point. LEILEHUA 49, NANAKULI 12, 7:57 to go in third quarter. There will be a mercy-rule running clock.

9:48: A sack by Nanakuli’s Deuce Yin puts a little bit of a crimp in the Mules’ attack.

9:46: A 15-yard McGary run brings the ball to the Nanakuli 8.

9:40: On second down on the Golden Hawks’ next possession, Leilehua’s Randen Siavii intercepts a Hauhio pass.

9:36: Aaron Kenigton intercepts a Hauhio pass and returns it 53 yards for a Mules touchdown. Tom-Makue kicks the extra point. LEILEHUA 42, NANAKULI 12.

9:33: Nanakuli’s Arindain-Pojas throws a punch after the extra point and is thrown out of the game.

9:31: On Leilehua’s first play of the second half, McGary goes up the middle and bounces to the right for a 47-yard run. The run put him at exactly 100 yards on the night. Two plays later, McGary scores from 8 yards out. Tom-Makue kicks the extra point. LEILEHUA 35, NANAKULI 12, 10:41 to go in third quarter.

9:09: Reis returns the kickoff all the way to the Nanakuli 34 as time runs out in the first half.

9:05: Nanakuli does not go quietly into halftime. Shayden Arindain-Pojas intercepts a Nichols pass and runs it back 46 yards for a touchdown. Hauhio’s conversion pass falls incomplete. LEILEHUA 28, NANAKULI 12, 0:05 to go in first half.

9:02: It’s three and out for Nanakuli. Leilehua gets one more possession with 35 seconds left in the half.

8:57: Manewa bobbles and drops a punt snap and two Leilehua players — Larkin and Kiaka Pio — coming rushing in. Larkin battles Manewa for the ball, but it’s still free and Pio scoops it up and runs it in to the end zone from 5 yards out. LEILEHUA 28, NANAKULI 6, 1:57 left in first half.

8:55: The Leilehua defense does its job with tackles for loss from Diamond Larkin and Xavier Tauasosi.

8:51: Furtado’s 26-yard punt return sets up Nichols’ 30-yard touchdown pass to Evans down the right sideline. LEILEHUA 21, NANAKULI 6, 3:20 left in first half.

8:43: Nichols fires a pass to a wide-open Furtado down the left sideline. He the beats the last defender to make it into the end zone for a 48-yard touchdown. Tom-Makue kicks the extra point. LEILEHUA 14, NANAKULI 6, 5:09 left in first half.

8:41: Furtado latches on to an inside screen pass from Nichols and goes for an apparent 48-yard TD, but there are offsetting penalties on the play. Down over. Leilehua has a third down and eight from the Hawks’ 48. Mules call timeout.

8:38: Nichols connects with Reis for a 12-yard gain, but the play is coming back. A penalty against the Golden Hawks pushes the ball back to the 50.

8:36: Nichols throws a short pass to Furtado that goes for 27 yards to the Nanakuli 37.

8:30: Wakefield’s tackle for loss for Leilehua leads to a Hawks’ three and out. Nanakuli punts.

8:28: Tom-Makue’s punt goes out of bounds, and Nanakuli takes over at its 37.

8:26: Leilehua stalls, due mostly to a tackle for loss by Kealoha Werner. They go into punt formation, but Akoni Tom-Makue passes to Jashawn Wakefield for good yardage. But the play is called back due to illegal receiver downfield. They are in punt formation again.

8:23: Nanakuli gets a first down on a head-to-head contact penalty against Leilehua, but can’t get past its own 18 and will be punting.

8:19: First quarter ends.

8:16: Leilehua is kept out of the end zone again. This time, on a fourth down and goal from the 3, Nichols completes a pass to Evans, who is dropped by the Golden Hawks’ Micah Maneva at the 1.

8:11: Nichols pitches back to Reis in the backfield, who throws a 23-yard pass to Evans. Mules ball at the Nanakuli 18. A Golden Hawks penalty moves the ball to the 8.

8:08: After a punt, Leilehua starts at its 26. McGary picks up a quick 14 around left end to the 40.

8:04: McGary goes in virtually untouched for an apparent 13-yard TD, but the play is called back on a holding penalty. On a third-down play, Nichols heaves one toward the end zone and it is picked off by Nanakuli’s Kealoha.

7:58: Using the hurry-up offense, Leilehua gets right back at it. James McGary, who is back from an injury runs twice for a total of 21 yards. Then Nichols makes two completions in a row — to Evans for 17 yards and to Masen Reis for 14.

7:55: On the next play, Aalona Aleka goes up the middle for a 6-yard touchdown. Kekoa Kealoha’s extra-point try misses. LEILEHUA 7, NANAKULI 6, 7:30 to go in first quarter.

7:54: Taz Kahalewai steps in front of a Nichols screen pass and makes the interception. He fumbles while returning it 20 yards but recovers his own fumble and makes it to the Leilehua 6.

7:51: Golden Hawks go three and out and punt.

7:48: Two plays later, Nichols finds Jeremy Evans in the end zone for a 19-yard touchdown. Akoni Tom-Makue kics the extra point. LEILEHUA 7, NANAKULI 0, 9:03 left in first quarter.

7:44: Leilehua starts at the Nanakuli 49. Dorian Furtado catches a third-down pass from Mules QB Max Nichols that goes for 40 yards to the Hawks’ 25.

7:42: Charles Hauhio is the Nanakuli QB. The Hawks are facing a third and long. A pass is nearly completed on third down, but it tips up and is almost intercepted by Leilehua’s Warren Lagaaia.

7:41: Golden Hawks start at their 25.

7:39: Leilehua will be kicking to Nanakuli.

7:37: Leilehua wins the JV game 41-13. Officials and captains are getting ready for the varsity coin toss.
