GAME NIGHT 10/13: Farrington/Waianae

The Seariders play their first game in three weeks when they host the Governors in the OIA quarterfinals.

10:28: Eter scrambles and runs up the middle and is tackled as he puts the ball over the end line for a TD. Williams adds the extra point. WAIANAE 27, FARRINGTON 21, 1:04 left in the game.

10:27: Eter hits Barrett deep down the left. He makes the catch but is over the end line.

10:24: Eter scrambles and sees Alualu-Alo in the end zone but he can’t hit him.

10:23: A wide-open Tanuvasa drops an Eter pass in the right corner of the end zone.

10:22: Eter’s pass to Tre Barrett goes for 16 yards, and Barrett immediately laterals to Alualu-Alo who runs 37 more yards to the Waianae 3.

10:18: Farrington is working the two-minute drill nicely. A pass to Silva goes for 6 yards to the 44. 1:59 left in the fourth quarter.

10:17: A 17-yard Eter to Silva pass brings the ball to the Govs’ 33.

10:15: It’s fourth and 4 for Waianae at the Farrington 44. Govs ball at their 10.

10:12: Waianae’s Mauga recovers Farrington’s onside-kick attempt. Seariders ball at the 50.

10:10: Chasen Catilliano steals the ball right out of a Waianae ball carrier’s hand and runs 75 yards for a touchdown. Williams adds the extra point. WAIANAE 27, FARRINGTON 14, 5:30 left in fourth quarter.

10:03: Kaai Tamboan-Kaeo gallps 21 yards to the Govs. 30.

10:00: Waianae’s Braiden Ayala picks off an Eter pass and returns it 21 yards to the Farrington 26, but a 15-yard personal foul brings it back to the 41.

9:56: Eteuati Lui goes up the middle for an 8-yard TD. Joseph misses the extra point. WAIANAE 27, FARRINGTON 7, 7:16 left in fourth quarter.

9:54: Rosario goes around right end for 11 yards to the Govs’ 10.

9:53: Lui rumbles for 13 yards up the middle to the 22.

9:52: Tacgere’s quarterback sneak goes for 5 yards and a first down at the Farrington 43.

9:48: Kaleiohi gains 12 yards for a first down for the Seariders at their 45.

FOURTH QUARTER

9:43: Mauga knocks down an Eter pass intended for an open Alualu-ALo on third down. On fourth down and 4, Eter tries to go right and is tackled hard by Mailo for a 2-yard gain. Waianae ball at its 22.

9:40: Eter’s pass to Tanuvasa and a roughing the passer penalty gives Farrington a first down at the Waianae 44. Two 7-yard Eter runs picks up another first down at the Seariders’ 30.

9:36: Rosario picks up 16 yards and then two plays later scores on an 8-yard off-tackle run. Kenneth Joseph Jr. kicks the extra point. WAIANAE 21, FARRINGTON 7, 3:15 remaining in third quarter.

9:33: Kaleiohi’s 11-yard run gives the Seariders a first down at the Govs 29.

9:28: Umaga just gets a line-drive punt off from his own end zone. Waianae ball at the Farrington 44.

9:27: Eter fumbles and recovers his own fumble at the 1.

9:24: Farrington’s defense holds. Rosario is stopped at the 1. Govs ball.

9:24: On third down, Mauga gains 1 yard to the 5. It’s fourth and goal.

9:23: A false-start penalty moves the ball back to the 6.

9:21: Waianae calls timeout.

9:20: Waianae is knocking on the door. It’s third down and goal from the 1.

9:14: Skyler Kaleiohi takes the second half kickoff back 32 yards to set Waianae up at its 42. On the next play, Rosario gains 34 yards to the Farrington 24. That rush puts Rosario over 100 yards for the night.

8:55: Eter’s pass to Tanuvasa for 19 yards and to Alualu-Alo for 11 yards gets two first downs before Napierala-Rose gets his second interception of the night for Waianae.

8:52: Two Eteuati Lui runs gains another Seariders’ first down, but on the next play, Tacgere throws a pass that is intercepted by the Governors’ Williams.

8:51: A Rosario 9-yard run picks up a first down at the Farrington 45.

8:49: Rosario picks up 14 yards to the Seariders’ 42.

8:45: This whole series for Farrington has been run in an unbalanced line. An 8-yard Bobby Alualu-Alo-yard run gets balanced out by a 5-yard false-start penalty. Farrington will punt on fourth down and 7.

8:37: Waianae goes three and out and punts.

8:36: A holding penalty wipes out a Rosario 50-yard run to the Farrington 25.

8:32: Calijah Maleko intercepts a Tacgere pass and returns it 39 yards for a touchdown. Ezra Williams kicks the extra point. WAIANAE 14, FARRINGTON 7, 7:47 to go in second quarter.

8:28: A Tacgere pass to Davis covers 12 yards for a first down.

8:26: Farrington punts for the third time. All three game after their first three possessions ended fumble, fumble, interception.

8:21: After an incomplete pass, the Seariders punt.

8:18: After a 5-yard penalty and a 2-yard loss by Rosario, Davis catches a 12-yard pass from Tacgere. It’s third down and 5 for Waianae.

SECOND QUARTER

8:15: First quarter ends.

8:12: Govs go three and out and punt. Seariders take over on their 49.

8:08: Rosario goes off left tackle for a 9-yard touchdown run. Eteuati Lui catches a 2-point conversion pass from Tacgere. WAIANAE 14, FARRINGTON 0, 1:11 to go in first quarter.

8:11: It’s third down and 10 for Farrington after two dropped passes.

8:04: Justin Tacgere passes to Keoki Davis and he grabs it at the same time as Farrington’s Treshawn Kepa on the left sideline. Davis wrestles it out of Kepa’s hands and the play goes for 57 yards to the Govs’ 20.

8:01: Two Rosario carries cover 16 yards to the 24.

7:59: Blessing Umaga’s punt pins Waianae at its 8.

7:58: The Waianae front seven is not budging, led by Mailo and Mauga, as usual.

7:53: On second down, Waianae’s J-zen Napierala-Rose intercepts a Stephen Eter pass and returns it 27 yards for a touchdown. The extra-point kick fails. WAIANAE 6, FARRINGTON 0, 6:35 left in first quarter.

7:49: On third down, Rico Rosario fumbles, and Bryson Alualu recovers for Farrington.

7:47: Kanai Mauga recovers Farrington’s second fumble of the early going and returns it 19 yards to the Govs’ 38.

7:42: Seariders go three and out and punt.

7:40: Waianae’s Toto Mailo recovers a Tanuvasa fumble. Seariders ball at their 35.

7:39: Farrington running back Samsen Tanuvasa’s option pass to a wide open Chad Silva is overthrown.


7:38: Farrington’s Bobby Alualu-ALo returns the kicoff 56 yards to the Waianae 30.

FIRST QUARTER

7:36: Waianae won the toss and deferred. Farrington elects to receive and the Seariders will defend the Makaha end zone.

    Waianae’s defense will be the game changer. The only way Waianae loses is if they shoot themselves in the foot.

    Govs turn in their pads tonight. No offense or weapons like the past years. Okimoto offensive play calling to easy for Waianae. Defensively the Govs are undersized, Waianae will run the rock easy win for the W!!
