Star-Bulletin reporter Paul Honda made sure he got to Kapolei early when the Hurricanes hosted Leilehua in September, hoping to have plenty of time to soak in the atmosphere and check out what might be the lushest patch of grass on the island. He wanted to check out the brand-new press box, but it wasn’t ready yet. The home team lost a close one, 14-10.
