Even a power outage on Friday night couldn’t stop the pride of the North Shore en route to their sixth victory on the season. The top-ranked team in the state pitched a shutout yesterday afternoon against the visiting Bulldogs.

Red Raider quarterback Evan Moe threw for two scores and the ground attack accounted for two more. Trips up to the North Shore in consecutive days was too much for Kaimuki as their offense sputtered throughout the game, which included four interceptions by Bulldog quarterback Eddie Char.

Castle 41, McKinley 0, halftime

Jaymason Lee rifled six touchdown passes, including three to Shaydon Kehano, as Castle took a 41-0 halftime lead over McKinley at Ticky Vasconcellos Stadium.

Both teams are 1-2 in OIA Red East play entering the contest.

Pearl City 17, Waialua 7

Cyrus Coen ran for 84 yards and two touchdowns as the Chargers beat back the Bulldogs.

Coen punched in a 2-yard dive in the second quarter. Coming out of halftime, the Charger defense sacked Waialua quarterback Matthew Abad twice and Coen broke free on an off-tackle run and outran the Bulldog secondary for his second score.
