At 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds, it’s not easy to miss big Nate Herbig.

The San Diego State Aztecs didn’t. They got their intel after Herbig’s performance at the Nike Opening in Los Angeles on Sunday. As of Monday, Herbig’s first scholarship offer came from the Aztecs. Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance shared the news on its Facebook page tonight.

SDSU has been active of late with offers to Kaiser’s Michael Eletise and Kapolei’s Sean Auwae, the latter offer also coming on Monday. Herbig, originally of Kauai, played for Saint Louis last season. He was a key factor in the Crusaders’ potent passing attack, protecting sophomore Tua Tagovailoa, a second-team all-state selection.
