Nishiura is medalist in OIA golf tourney No. 2

Mililani’s Mari Nishiura won the OIA’s second girls golf tournament of the season on Monday at Mililani Golf Club.

Nishiura fired an even-par 72 to capture the girls tournament by four shots over Kaiser’s Malia Nam.

On the boys side, Kalani’s Robert Choy and Moanalua’s Shawn Lu tied for medalist honors with even-par 72s.


Moanalua’s Kyosuke Hara was a stroke back at 73.

The league’s third tournament of the season will be held Tuesday at Ala Wai Golf Course.
