Kahuku senior middle Phoebe Grace has accepted a scholarship to play at the University of Utah, Red Raiders head coach Mounia Tachibana confirmed Friday.

Tachibana said Grace began to get offers during her sophomore season and is a solid commit to the Utes.

Grace helped lead Kahuku to the semifinals of the Division I state tournament a year ago.

At this point of Grace’s senior season, the Red Raiders are ranked No. 1 in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s Top 10.

Grace, who is 6 feet 2 and 160 pounds, is a big factor in Kahuku’s defensive and offensive success.
