Farrington’s Andre Ilagan is two matches away from a repeat title in the OIA championships.

Ilagan swept both his matches on Friday and will play his semifinal on Saturday at 945 against Ford Nakagawa of Aiea at Central Oahu Regional Park. The final is set for noon against either Kalani’s Darrell Huang or Kellen Higa of Pearl City.

Ilagan is trying to become the first Governor to repeat since his brother, Anthony, did it in 2001 and 2002.

Kaiser’s Lisa Owen is also going for a repeat. She swept both of her opponents on Friday and takes on Aiea’s Sophia Nishimura in the semifinals. The winner of that plays either Leslie Fujitani or Sarah Domingo, both of Pearl City.
