This wasn’t the first time a Kahuku volleyball team started slowly.

It was certainly the first time in recent memory, however, a team made such a big comeback in the Oahu Interscholastic Association playoffs. The Red Raiders rallied from a 24-18 deficit to stun Moanalua, and went on to a 27-25, 25-20, 26-28, 25-18 [...]

With 12 days off between matches, top-ranked Punahou had a lull to deal with before the state volleyball tournament, which begins in one week.
Fortunately, the Buffanblu and at least three other teams are getting a taste of competition during the lull on Saturday. The inaugural Bump, Set and Spike for the Cure exhibition tournament at [...]

The promise of a slugfest turned into a technical knockout, and it was Kamehameha that was left standing.
The Warriors absorbed every shot from a resilient ‘Iolani squad, then took command in the final two sets for a 25-19, 21-25, 25-19, 25-13 victory last night at Kekuhaupi’o Gym. Second-ranked Kamehameha (16-2) will meet regular-season [...]

Winning isn’t everything, but a big win means a little more for a little school.
Case in point: Division II Hawaii Baptist’s win over Kamehameha (12-1) last night in girls volleyball. Mind you, the Warriors may be four-time defending state champs in Division I, but this season has been one of development and growth for Chris [...]
