Hawaii offers Campbell’s Adkins-Kupukaa

Campbell sophomore Poki’i Adkins-Kupukaa, a 6-foot, 185-pound wide receiver and defensive back, landed his first scholarship offer today from Hawaii. Cover2’s Rob DeMello first reported the offer for Adkins-Kupukaa, who set a new Campbell single-game receiving record with 204 yards in a 26-20 win over Farrington 10 days ago. Adkins-Kupukaa leads the state with 399 receiving yards and four touchdowns in three games for No. 7 Campbell, which plays at Waianae on Friday. He is the 10th sophomore in Hawaii known to hold at least one scholarship offer. Hawaii has offered six of them, Another Campbell sophomore, linebacker Tyrese Tafai, holds an offer from Nevada. Kahuku’s Vimahi lands first SEC offer

Kahuku junior offensive lineman Enokk Vimahi landed his first scholarship offer from the SEC on Thursday. Ole Miss became the 10th school overall to offer the 6-foot-4, 260-pound Vimahi, who opens his season Friday night at home against Leilehua. Vimahi has put together an impressive offer sheet — USC, UCLA, Oregon, Nebraska, BYU, Utah, Syracuse, Fresno State, Hawaii and now the Rebels. 247Sports lists Vimahi as the No. 112 overall player, the 14th-best offensive tackle overall and the third-best tackle in the West region for 2019. Kapolei’s Emmsley headed to the Mountain West

Kapolei defensive end Kukea Emmsley, who picked up nine scholarship offers since the start of the year, has decided to end his recruitment in time for the start of his senior season. Emmsley, who is 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds, announced on Twitter today that he has committed to Boise State, calling it his dream school since he was young. UH offers scholarship to Waialua’s Hatchie

It’s not unusual for a North Shore boy to get a full-ride scholarship offer. What is unusual is that the player plays for a school at the northwestern tip of Oahu and not the northeastern. Yes, defensive tackle Matthan Hatchie of the Waialua Bulldogs received the offer from the University of Hawaii recently. Most often, football scholarship offers to North Shore boys go to players who play at Kahuku. Hatchie was a big part of the Bulldogs’ run to the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division II football championship a year ago. Waianae linebacker Kana’i Mauga tweeted today that he has committed to Southern California, but left room open at the end to potentially change in his mind. When the recruiting web site released its first recruiting rankings for the class of 2019, Saint Louis’ Faatui Tuitele, Kahuku’s Enokk Vimahi and Punahou’s Maninoa Tufono were all placed in the top 100 overall. Schools have flocked to bid for the services of all three, with the 6-foot-3, 270-pound Tuitele receiving his 17th offer on Monday from California. Tufono and Vimahi each have nine offers including Oregon, USC, UCLA and Utah. USC offers 2019 LB prospect from Punahou

Punahou linebacker Maninoa Tufono spent last weekend participating in the USC Rising Stars Camp in Los Angeles and earned an MVP award for his efforts. The real award, however, was coming soon after.
