Kahuku center Taimona Wright will replace Kesi Ah-Hoy at the Geremy Robinson Senior Classic.

Brandyn Akana, who coached both players at Kahuku, made the announcement on Thursday. Wright is a 6-foot-4 senior who has an accurate mid-range jumper and played a supporting role in Kahuku’s ascent to the state championship. Ah-Hoy, one of the team’s key stoppers who came on strong with his perimeter shooting in the postseason, has signed to play football at Oregon State.

The opening ceremony of the Robinson Senior Classic begins 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Neal Blaisdell Center.

Did Akana mention why? Some interesting picks at least for OIA some guys arent even 3rd teamers. I really hope somebody comes out with defensive awards for the boys. Reward the unsung heroes.

No doubt, Tafena! Haven’t followed high school hoops for some time now so I’m not too sure who is out there taking some PRIDE in their defensive effort! All for an ALL-DEFENSIVE TEAM!

Interesting picks for ILH too. They got some D3 guys.
