Both teams applying tight defensive pressure. Kamehameha using a 2-1-2 halfcourt press, not real tight but enough to slow Punahou’s fastbreak.

The Buffablu got nice shooting from Dayson Watanabe to open a 10-point lead, but let it slip. Kamehameha’s patient halfcourt offense is making Punahou’s man defense work. Noa Kinimaka sank a 23-foot trey from the top just before the half.

Strong defensive work by the Warriors, who pulled off their 2-1-2 halfcourt pressure. Eight points in the quarter by Jaycob Smith.

Punahou rallied to take a 42-39 lead, but it’s been all Warriors since. J.B. Kam just fouled out.
