Pearl City sweeps state bowling titles

Pearl City swept the individual and team titles at the HHSAA Bowling State Championships on Friday at Hickam Bowling Center.

Chargers senior Nicholas Azumi won the individual boys title, and sophomore Chelsi Morishige took the girls trophy.

Azumi’s nine-game pinfall total was 1,905, leading Pearl City’s boys to a team-title-winning total of 8,748.


Morishige’s 1,747 total led the Chargers to a team-best 7,790 pins.
