Updates from Monday’s games at the ‘Iolani Classic.

Semifinal: Yates (Houston, Texas) 88, Columbia (Decatur, Ga.) 66

Joseph Young poured in 30 points as the Lions hounded the Eagles in the late game, breaking open a close battle during the third quarter.

Yates led just 38-36 at intermission, but relentless fullcourt press wore down Columbia. Young’s 3-point bombs were daggers during the third-quarter blitz. He finished with seven treys in all. Darius Gardner and Elton Roy added 12 points each, and Brandon Peters had 11.

JerShonn Cobb led Columbia with 18 points. Darnelius Sessions (14), Stephon Allen (10) and sophomore Jarmal Reid (10) all finished in double figures.

Wake Forest-bound Tony Chennault poured in 29 points and Tyreek Duran (LaSalle) added 22 as the Saints upset the nation’s No. 5-ranked team (ESPN Fab 50).

Mustafaa Jones chipped in 12 points as Neumann-Goretti’s guards controlled the game in the final quarter.

Josh Hairston (Duke) led Montrose with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Terrence Ross (Maryland) had a cold shooting night and finished with 15 points (6-for-21).

North Carolina recruit Reggie Bullock scored 16 points and Josh Benoit added 12 as the Vikings rallied.

The Raiders led most of the way before the visitors took the lead in the final minutes. ‘Iolani missed two 3-points shots in the final minute that would have tied the game, including a try from the right corner by Jarrett Arakawa at the buzzer.

Kainoa Chu led the Raiders with a career-high 32 points, including six treys and 6-for-7 shooting at the foul line

Nate Britt swished a 17-footer on the baseline as time expired to lift the Eagles over the Lancers. Britt’s shot came off a feed from Cedrick Lindsay, who drove to the foul line looking left, hung in the air and found Britt near the right corner at the last moment.

Lindsay led Gonzaga with 20 points and Tyler Thornton added 16.

Dylan Rice (22 points) and Tyler Funk (21) paced Lutheran.

Micah Christenson drilled a 3-pointer with 20 seconds left as the Warriors rallied from a nine-point deficit to edge the Huskies. Christenson led Kamehameha, the defending Hawaii state champion, with 20 points, and Dyrbe Enos added 16.

Jack Cone led Hamilton with 17 points.

With 1 minute to go, Kamehameha trailed by five points. Junior guard Shane Matayoshi (12 points) hit his third trey of the game to bring the Warriors within 52-50. After a steal off fullcourt pressure, Kamehameha got the ball to Christenson, their 6-foot-5 sharpshooter for the go-ahead 3-pointer.

Hamilton’s Micah Fetters missed a baseline jumper as time expired.

Eleven of Kamehameha’s 19 field goals came from the arc.
