Punahou senior Dean Rodan tied the ILH Sporter Air Riflery record on Saturday in a victory over Kamehameha.
Rodan will compete in the ILH championships next Saturday at Mid-Pacific.
Rodan’s three-position score of 279 tied the mark set by Kamehameha’s Keanu Paikai on Oct. 2, 2010. Paikai won the state championship that year and followed it with another title in 2011.
Paikai went on to shoot for the Alaska Fairbanks rifle team.
